MANDATE

The Legal Unit has a constitutional mandate that derives its authority from the Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation's (HMJAGF’s) Office (as the Chief Legal Officer to the Government)  to give optimal assistance to the management in simplifying and handling all legal issues and problems that may arise in the course of the Ministry’s collective task in propagating Government policies, programs and decisions.

VISION

Our vision is to project an excellent and highly reputable Legal Office capable of achieving all Federal Ministry of Information and communication's legal issues.

MISSION

Our mission is to handle all legal matters with efficiency, transparency and integrity in accordance with the laws and regulations of the country. We shall use the available enabling laws to improve the quality of litigations, legal opinions and advice for the Federal Ministry of Information and communications while guiding the Ministry and staff in a just, truthful and upright way under the Honourable Minister.
